Honeymoon Park

 

HONEYMOON PARK, FLORENCE, OREGON

JULY  2011

In July Kirsten, Evan and Phil came up for a week's visit.  We had made plans to go camping at Honeymoon Park in Florence, Oregon.  It's a great campground that is based below large, expansive sand dunes and a lovely lake.  Along with us came Kirsten's in-laws, Jim and Helen Heder and three of their other grandchildren, Mary, Max and Clara.  Growing up in Oregon,  my family used to come here many times for our camping vacations and I have fond memories of climbing those huge sand dunes.  Little did I know I would be bringing my daughter and grandchildren here in a future I did not realize would come so fast.

Philip was hysterical ... he refused to touch the sand or walk on it!  He literally sat on this towl the whole time we were at the lakeside.

 We are all loading onto a peddle boat - we were also dropping Mary off on the distant shore to meet her dad for a swim back across the lake!!
